Biography
Thomas Maisonnasse (CH), born in Grenoble in 1976, lives and works in Geneva.
He completed his art studies at the Beaux-Arts de Genève in 2004, following
studies at the Villa Arson in Nice (2000-2001), the ENSBA in Lyon (1998-
2000), as well as studying Biology/Geology at the Université Claude
Bernard Lyon 1 (1996-1998). In 2016, he presented a solo exhibition
exhibition at the Salle Crosnier of the Société des arts de Genève.
His work has been exhibited in Switzerland, France and Japan.
His work revolves around the shadow; after trying to catch it
to catch it, to separate himself from it through installations and photographs,
he developed the series "Tout ce qui se voit sous le soleil" ("Everything that can be seen under the sun").
In 2021, a print from this series entered the collection of the Fonds d'art contemporain
collection of the city of Meyrin.
