Charter of personal data
In the context of using the website Wipplay.com (hereinafter referred to as 'the Site'), Wipplay (hereinafter referred to as 'the Company') may collect and process personal data, to the extent necessary for the proper functioning of the Site's services and for the purposes outlined below.
This Charter aims to inform the User of the Site about the methods of collecting, processing, and using personal data. It may be modified at any time by the Company. Changes to this Charter take effect on the date they are posted online and are binding on the User upon their first use of the Site after such posting.
1. Data Controller.
The data controller for the processing carried out through the Site is: the company Wipplay, located at 19 rue de Téhéran, 75008 Paris, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Registry under number B 510 273 246.
2. Methods and purposes of collecting personal data
The User consents to their personal data being collected and processed for the purposes outlined below.
Parental consent is required for the collection of personal data for any User wishing to register on the Site and who is under 15 years old. The holder(s) of parental authority therefore agrees to be responsible for ensuring compliance with all provisions of these rules.
The personal data collected by the Company is for the following uses and purposes:
- prospecting of photographers
- management of the Site and its functionalities :
o for all visitors: viewing photographs displayed online by Members ;
o for Members: creation and use of a Member account, storage, sharing, and display of photographs, participation in contests and voting, posting comments, buying and selling photographs from other Members, and printing photographs. The Site also extracts metadata from the photographs to geolocate the location where they were taken.
3. Recipient of personal data
The personal data collected by the Company is intended exclusively for the Company and is in no case sold or rented to third parties.
However, they may be transmitted to third-party technical service providers of the Company solely for the purpose of providing the Site's services.
In the context of payment for orders on the Company’s online store, the User's banking details are collected solely by the Company’s certified payment service provider, exclusively for the purpose of processing these payments, which ensures the security of transactions.
In the context of posting comments, the Member's username or name is shared with all Members of the Site upon publication.
The Company informs Users that the data they provide may be transmitted by the Company to judicial authorities upon their request.
4. Retention and security of personal data
The personal data are kept for the period necessary for the purposes described above.
The personal data corresponding to a Member's account are deleted within 13 months after the closure of said account.
The personal data are stored in a secure environment with the Site's hosting provider, Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL

5. User Rights
In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended, known as the "Data Protection Act," and Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (GDPR), the User has the right to access, rectify, and delete the data collected.
The User also has the right to retrieve the data in a structured format.
The User may set guidelines regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of their personal data after their death.
The User may exercise these rights :
- either by postal mail addressed to Wipplay.com, 19 rue de Téhéran, 75008 Paris
- either by email addressed to contact@wipplay.com or through the Contact section of the Site.
The User may also object to the processing of their data for legitimate reasons.
