Golden State
A few months ago, Wipplay honored the American West Coast with the California Love contest. Now, at the start of 2025, a sad spectacle is unfolding before our very eyes in real time, as flames ravage Los Angeles, the second most populous city in the USA. As the human and material toll continues to rise, the City of Angels, ravaged by monstrous fires, is sadly more reminiscent of Hollywood post-apocalyptic films than its traditional “beach and fun” imagery. Our Album of the Week looks back to the better days in California, which we hope will soon return.
