Roots in Spain. Trunk in Brussels. Leaves blowing around the world. Miles away from the Tree, my nomadic lens reflects lights and shadows along the way. Sometimes miles away from home. Sometimes just around the corner. Always somewhere on my way back home. Home is the place I always leave and always come back to.

I am an anthropologist and a natural resources management specialist. Travelling and exploring are part of my DNA. I am deeply concerned by the climate and nature crises the world is facing. Our unsustainable development pathways have altered the way our Planet works. We are blindly running towards the wrong direction: Investing in our destructive ego-systems at the expense of our protective ecosystems. The future of our civilization is at stake. At the time when long-term thinking is an urgent commitment for immediate action, “Art” is our wake-up call. Art has the power to stimulate our thinking, shape our commitments and boost our motivation as citizens.

In the wake of my concerns and hopes, my creative work intends to capture our challenges and opportunities; connect fragility and beauty; nature and culture, environment and economy, faces and situations. From distant shots to inner thoughts, my creation space, mindsaway (mindsaway.com) is about the bond between images, words and melodies I have captured, written and composed along my way.
