This shoot catalyzed a deep desire in me to continue taking portraits of people. It was a hot August morning in San Diego, California. I came to my friends home and asked to take portraits of her and her daughter. Not many words were exchanged. We fell into a natural motion and I have continued to use this experience as the foundation of my approach to photographing people; allowing for trust to build and letting my subject unfold.
