In the 90s our home in Lebanon was bombed. Over the years I kept looking at this photo of me and my sisters posing with my dad in the hole of what used to be our bedroom wall. And I keep thinking to myself: " we could have died that day BUT we look so happy and we are smiling!". Then I realize that this picture represents what its like to be Lebanese: picking up the pieces and starting again no matter how bad things are. Because our love for our country is too strong to give up and walk away.
