Biographie
Derek Beck is a filmmaker and photographer from Houston, TX. From an early age, Beck began creating films using his father’s DV camcorder in Houston. As a teenager, he started a video production company that eventually landed him a job at Vimeo. During his six years at Vimeo, he wrote and directed dozens of videos for their in-house production team. Since then, he has used a practical home-grown style of filmmaking to create music videos, short films, and branded content. He is currently working on an audiovisual photography series titled ‘WALK_’ in conjunction with the Houston Arts Alliance. You can view his video work here.
