Route 17 between Røytvik and Ørnes. We continue our journey on road 17 (also called Kystriksveien) until after Ørnes. The landscapes remind us of Les Marquesas without the palm trees but with the snow in addition. The mountains plunge steeply into the water. We go from 1000 meters at the top to 0 meters at the level of the fjords. This stretch of Route 17 is remarkable and enjoyable. Today we passed the imaginary line of the Arctic Circle. For us, this passage was made on board the ferry which makes the connection between Kilboghamn and Jektvik. Tomorrow evening we will be in Bodø.
