Title: "Room(s)" This is a series of black and white photographs. Images are laid out in a way that creates a sort of narrative, a photo novel. The white spaces on the page are like moments of silence surrounding the images. Story(ies) in several parts... "Through the window of the room, I observe a landscape sometimes in motion, sometimes static. Moments suspended, I wait. Time stretches, repetitive abstractions surround the days and nights." The silence(s) of photography. The white - moments of respiration - like words never spoken (unsaid?) Imperceptible whispers... I have always worked on projects that resonate with solitude, melancholy, empty spaces, etc. About my approach: Whether in my images or in my texts, it's atmospheres I wish to transcribe, states of mind. Sometimes, on the verge, the figures are almost always feminine, like self-portraits telling a story where nothing happens. I am greatly inspired by the novels of Marguerite Duras where the romantic characters are disconnected from society. Impregnated with abstraction, the characters are situated in indefinite temporalities, they are characterized almost like ghosts. Indeed, for me, solitude is an art that allows me to go beyond the limits it can establish. I feed on it to try to grow. I have often felt alone with my thoughts, which is why I have expressed myself through writing and photography. Giving myself the necessary breathing space to move forward. I thus like to immerse the viewers in a universe on the border between dream and reality in which the landscape and the body converse. [ worldview ] In my projects, the characters are often tormented, melancholic, feminine. [ landscape and nature ] I try to reinvent the notion of landscape, to show new perspectives, untouched expanses on the border of abstraction. I try to delve into the image to discover what it can reveal. [ identity, femininity ] Through a search for identity mixed with the tumult of the world: the images show bodies written, naked, without adornment, given to the viewer as they are. The woman and the world both separate and connect. I question the poetic ties that unite between woman and nature, matter. The body undergoes the assaults of nature and the scratches of time and its writing. "Solitude is what we do nothing without. What we no longer look at anything without. It is a way of thinking, of reasoning, but with only daily thought." Marguerite Duras — Writing, p.32
