Artistic Director of festival Itinéraires des Photographes Voyageurs
Graduated from the National Academy of Photography of Arles (ENSP) after having studied at the Marseille Fine Arts Academy, Vincent Bengold started out at the National Photographic Collection of the Ministry of Culture in Paris.
After working on prestigious patrimonial collections (Renault group historical society, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Le Corbusier and Pierre Mendes France), he launched his own studio:
Pixels & Grains d’Argent.
Associated Artistic Director with the festival « Travel Photographers' Itineraries» since 1999 with Nathalie Lamire-Fabre in Bordeaux, he also teaches Photography and History of Photography as well as Graphic Design at Bordeaux Montaigne University (IUT) and in ICART.
His personal research project about the memory of places, inspired by Georges Perec, he aims to leave a groove, a mark, a trace or some signs...
His photographs shot in Italy, Egypt, Andalusia (The world is a study) ... or more recently in the Landes (Fragile) or Aubrac (White Aubrac) involve the spectator in a game of subtle shadows and lights ... to the point of suspending the moment by the strength of the image.
