Part of a wall to stop sniper fire in Gilo, a neighborhood to the south of Jerusalem, just opposite the Arab town of Beit Jalla. In order to keep the new Russian immigrants at work and enliven the wall they were asked to paint a mural on it. One of the artists chose to represent the suppressed view. Was that wall a small scale prototype of the Big Wall that so many European artists want to paint? Anyway no such arty display on the Palestinian side, for them the wall stands for a prison wall that nothing could ever beautify.
