Biography
The photographer of Stéphanie Lacombe (1976, Figeac, Lot) is turned towards the human. She testifies for 15 years of the way of life of the French in their lodging. His family portraits are lively, moving, tinged with humor or gravity and reveal the broad spectrum of today's Middle Class. For 3 years, she photographed 100 families at the table for her project "The table of the ordinary" which will receive several awards including the Niépce Award in 2009. Her work is exhibited in France, in institutional places, museums, galleries as well as abroad: in Argentina, Finland and Hong Kong. The Cultural Centers, the Photographic Poles, the institutions are turning to her to show the situation of the French in their family intimacy. With the Fondation Abbé Pierre, she creates a photographic documentary on energy poverty. The aim was to reach the public authorities about the real situations of families living in the cold. His work is published in the French press which is the relay of his observations in the field: the XXI Review, Marie-Claire, The World, VSD, La Croix, Life, International Mail, Obs.
In addition, she shares her experience as a female photographer through workshops for the Carrousel Workshops, the Cartier Foundation, the Arles Meetings and the Diaphane Photographic Pole in Picardy for kindergarten students, middle school students, high school students and homes for undocumented miners like Apprentis d'Auteuil.
