Biography

Sanjyot Telang was born in 1988 in Mumbai, India. After she worked as a wedding photographer, she specialised in visual communication in Bangalore, before pursuing a Master's degree from Spéos Photographic Institute, Paris. In her photographic work for advertising and fashion, she emphasises her models' spontaneity and chooses a style inspired by European arts and the great principles of design. She is particularly interested in the impact of aesthetic and social conventions on modern ways of life; whether it is through the models she selects and discovers in the street, the metro, supermarkets, or in the way she composes her pictures, she looks for unexpected and nonconformist visions. 

Her work is published by several magazines such as Kaltblut, Lonewolf, Tantalum, HUF and OOB, and is also exposed in France, Belgium and India.
