Raymond Dakoua (Ivorian photographer)

Based in Brussels for twenty years, Raymond Dakoua is interested in keeping alive old traditions and the ways in which cultures and social life develop. His work focuses on multiple issues relating to Humanity from a religious, geographical, social, political and ecological point of view. A graduate of the Agnès Varda Photography School in Brussels, Raymond Dakoua is the epitome of the deeply committed photographer.

Building a sincere relationship with his subject is something he sees as extremely important, all the better to reveal the beauty in the everyday and the  inner life of man, in every form and aspect. He uses his curious, discreet, yet incisive gaze to bring alive every vibrant detail.

He has the eye of a modern storyteller, one who is able to capture the moment with the boldness to assemble the brief moments he collects.
