Biography
Established in 2008, Polka Magazine is a French quarterly publication dedicated to photography and to photojournalism. In its pages, the masters of photography and emerging artists, tell stories, witness and probe the news, and reveal the beauty of the world as well as its evolution.
Free and diligent, Polka is part of a new generation of magazines that take the time to analyze the news rather than follow the prevalent spectacular, heavily scripted and fast-paced coverage. This artisan-like vocation can be seen and felt all the way through the magazine and in the quality of the printing.
An innovative media, Polka is founded on three pillars :
- a quarterly magazine sold in newsstands and speciality book stores, in France and the rest of the world,
- a Parisian gallery (Polka Galerie, 12 rue Saint-Gilles, 75003 Paris) and off-site exhibitions,
- digital versions available on several platforms, from tablets to smartphones.
