Biography

Patrice Hirbec has been in charge of the environment at the National Forestry Office in various positions since 1979 (Haguenau, Rambouillet, Bordeaux, Fort-de-France, Paris). Co-author of L'abécédaire des oiseaux chez Flammarion (1998), Le bois et homme chez Flammarion (2003), he is also a member of the management board of France Nature Environnement and a forest expert with the International Union for the Conservation of nature.
