Biographie

Nina Poppe (1979 in Münster/ Germany), studied photography at the art school in Utrecht the Netherlands and documentary film at the art academy in Cologne Germany.
Her first photo book ‚  Ama about japanese snails divers, was published at Kehrer publisher in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Aperture First Photo Book Award. Ama was exhibited in international museums and festivals like FOAM Amsterdam, Fotografia Festival Rome and Museum of Modern Art Arnhem. 

Next to her own photography and film projects, she has worked as an assistant to the publisher Markus Schaden since 2003. She took care of several publications and exhibition projects. She lives and works in Cologne.
