Biographie
Mathias Zwick is a freelance photographer born in 1990, Pertuis, France. He got interested in photography through his passion for skateboarding. As a teen, he spent his free time in the streets of Strasbourg, taking pictures and filming his skateboarding friends. After he got a Master's degree in intellectual propoerty rights, and after he first worked as a jurist for a French audiovisual society, he decided to keep his suit and tie in his closet and to dedicate his time to photography. His passion for skateboarding is at the roots of his first series, created in 2015, that focuses on the youth of Iran. This work has been published in the French and international press, and exposed at the Circulation(s) Festival. Alongside his craving for street and portrait photography, Mathias wants to keep on exploring documentary and journalistic photography, with the will of offering a different look on issues.
