Biographie
Maria Lax is a Finnish commercial and fine art photographer currently splitting her time between London and Northern Finland. With a background in cinematography, her stills work has strong narrative and a distinct, cinematic look. Stating that her work is often about the people who are absent in the frame, she is drawn to the quiet hours of the night to explore the themes of loneliness, loss and nostalgia through her imagery.
