Biography
Born in 1979, Margaret Dearing lives and work in Paris. Graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure d'arts of Paris-Cergy in 2001, then from the Ecole nationale supérieure de la photographie, in Arles, in 2004, she composes sets of photographs around questions related to architecture, urbanism, landscape - the organization of spaces and circulation, the formal, temporal relations between built or natural spaces, the traces of entropy, the difficulty of inhabiting a place. Her work of shooting and hanging, which is underpinned by the idea of translating an expanse, a flow, a continuum, confers a character of immutability and of perpetuity to these little things, this everyday life that can be considered rather derisory and transitory.
