These people live with the elements in this small province of 29 islands, lost in the North Atlantic, between Iceland, Norway and Great Britain. This autonomous territory but attached to Denmark is harsh. The man had to make his place there. To live there, they face the elements, often extreme, on a daily basis. It rains about 300 days a year in the Faroe Islands. Each village has its own access to the ocean. Fishing appears to be the economic heart of this territory, it employs many people from various trades. But this essential activity is tending to falter due to the fall in the price of fish. The fishermen still very present on these islands, see their future more and more uncertain.
