At the foot of the Osorno volcano, there is the Paso Desolacion hike (Great Lakes region, Chile). The day before the departure, we park our old exhausted van on the parking lot at the bottom of the path. We are tired, exhausted from the road and worried about tomorrow's weather conditions. We are about to huddle inside when a horde of pink clouds take over the sky. It’s like the sky is catching fire.
