Biography
Born in 1969 in Beirut, Lebanon.
Lives and works in Beirut.
Son of farmers, Kamal Mouzawak created in 2004 the first farmer's market in Beirut, Souk El Tayeb, which has now become a social enterprise. He leads numerous projects throughout Lebanon and is committed to preserving culinary traditions and sustainable agriculture by creating places of encounter and exchange that bring a country together around its cuisine. He founded Tawlet, cooperative restaurants that bring together the unique flavours of each region, and Beit, guest houses that guarantee respect for architectural and gastronomic traditions.
