Documentary photographer
Born in 1989, in Nantes (Fr)
based in Paris (Fr)
Guillaume Blot began documentary photography in 2015. His first series on the world of French fry shops andmerguez stands around stadiums is called Buvettes. It was followed in 2019 by Rades, four years of immersions in French bistros; a project released as a book by Gallimard in May 2023. Her latest project, Parti Intime (on male contraception), aims to raise awareness and provide information on this method, through her testimonial in silver medium format.
With a "tender sense of humor", his photographic work flashes a popular France and everyday communities in the form of immersions and portraits. His images aim to show what habit renders invisible, to point out details and the anecdotal, to tell wonderfully normal stories.
Guillaume Blot works with Le Monde, Libération, Society, L'Obs and L'Équipe, among others.
