Biography
Gérard Rancinan is a French artist recognized internationally. His photographic work is presented through solo exhibitions in the most prestigious museums in the world. It is now the most valued French photographer and was ranked 400th among the Artprice. Witness of he worked as a reporter and press photographer and was awarded by six World Press.
He has directed documentary films for television. He was nominated « Officer of Arts and Letters ».
Through an expressionist photography that is transposition of a look at the contemporary era, Gérard Rancinan is gaining more and more recognition in the world and the market for contemporary art.
He is mainly known for his works of monumental proportions, of a quality that reflects the requirement of the artist. His photographic work is part of major collections of contemporary art. In 2014, he represented France in the 50th Anniversary of the recognition by France of the Republic of China.
