Biography

François Chérèque , born on 1 June 1956 in Nancy ( Meurthe-et-Moselle ) is currently Inspector General of Social Affairs and President of the Civic Service Agency since December 2013. He was secretary general of the CFDT from 2002 to 2012. Since January 2013, he is also Chairman of Think-tank Terra Nova. It is also responsible for monitoring the multiannual plan against poverty as part of its functions to the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs ( IGAS ) .
