Esther N’sapu (Congolese photographer)

Esther N’sapu is a journalist and photographer based in Eastern DRC. Since 2011, she has been reporting on the developments in her country, especially issues relating to its social development, humanitarian topics, health, security concerns and community life. Through her photos and articles, Esther is eager to tell the world about what's happening in her region and the daily lives of the Congolese. 

Esther N’sapu's photographic work is based on people's everyday lives. She wants to show the outside world that, despite the difficulties, despite the problems, life goes on. Through these photographic images, she is keen for some people to see her region in a new light, not as a land of conflict, but as a land where there is love and hope.
