In Street photography, we have the opportunity to meet many people. Surprised by this woman's attitude and the cloud of smoke, I pressed the shutter. I also had the opportunity to talk to this woman smoking on this bench. Now knowing a little of her history, I wanted her to be at peace for the space of a photo and so that she could forget the noise of the bombs, the weapons, the cries of the women, children and old people that we murder. I am from the generation who daily saw photos of the Vietnam War taken on the front lines by illustrious war photographers. The HEP of Lausanne organized a magnificent exhibition of the photographer Alexander Chekmenev, Visages de la guerre / Faces of war, 2022-2023: faces and words. I was very touched by his approach to war, completely different from what I had known. It is this influence that made me decide to highlight the grayness of our world for some of us but also of their colorful hopes and dreams. Katarina I let you live the color of your dreams!
