Biography
Camille Abele is an art historian with a degree in literature from
University of Geneva. Her involvement in the cultural scene
in the fields of heritage conservation (Museum
Développement, State of Geneva), cultural journalism (Radiocité, Le Courrier
Courrier, Al Ahram hebdo) and music programming (PTR-L'Usine)
with a decidedly interdisciplinary approach and a keen interest in
independent creation. Deeply involved in the local arts scene
scene, she supports several associations and participates in numerous
events in Geneva (Festival Le Monstre, Baz-art, Face-Z, Atelier La
Motte, etc.). Since 2013, as head of the Fonds d'art contemporain
of the City of Meyrin (FACM), she has made a major contribution to the
to the dynamism and influence of the municipal collection, through
art competitions, exhibitions and mediation programs. After ten years
years, she will be leaving Meyrin at the beginning of 2024 for her new position as
Head of the Fonds d'art contemporain de la Ville de Genève (FMAC).
