Biography
Aurélie is a culinary photographer who has travelled the world. She works for producers, brands and restaurants who entrust her with the task of presenting their products in their best light. She takes photos and creates recipes to showcase the brands she works with. She loves to work as a team on projects of all sizes. In 2021, she is collaborating with Sarah Lachhab to write and photograph the book 'Scotland, Oats, Haggis and Cranachan' which is a declaration of love for the Scottish food that is so little known outside of Scotland.
In another life, she studied biology and palaeontology at the Pierre-et-Marie-Curie University and the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. Before moving to Scotland, Aurélie lived in Quebec for 5 years, where she trained in photography at Dawson College in Montreal.
Since her arrival in Scotland, Aurélie has immersed herself in the local culinary culture to bring out the best in it. Passionate about simple and fresh products, she has worked with them in all their forms while leafing through recipe books, especially those from centuries ago.
Apart from cooking and photography, Aurélie devours all the books she can get her hands on and spends her long winter evenings knitting. Her cat Darwin is never far away, and has already found his way into some of her photos.
