The afterlife, death, darkness... If you're a fan of darkness in both form and content, this competition is for you! Opt for black and white and play it dark, even morbid, with You Want It Darker. Fans of the brilliant songwriter Leonard Cohen will have recognized the title of his song from the eponymous 2016 album: it is in fact the main theme of the forthcoming issue of Tropical Stoemp, the Belgian photo magazine of which Wipplay is a partner.
The mood here is one of darkness and gloom... 8 years ago, the singer died barely two weeks after the release of his album: the afterlife and disappearance are of course among the themes to be explored here. Too dark? Perhaps, but isn't it said that it's in the deepest darkness that the light appears... In short, let's be clear: we want dark!
