In the intense heat of Indian summer in Kolkata, I decided to venture out in the heart of the city, Kolkata. I chose the strong afternoon light instead of the golden hours hoping to get some strong shadows and voila ! I got this at a junction in front of a medicine shop which has guarded the strong sunlight from entering the shop. A signboard's shadow gave me an idea to juxtapose as a creature's head as I saw people walking behind the shadow curtain. After some tries I got the perfect timing with the man's hands swaying in a good position and the frame also had some details of a man in the distant. Still I feel the balance of the image could have been better than a bit lopsided but to do that I would have invited ugly clutter. So this was the best frame and timing I could afford !
