From July 15 to August 26 2020

For this contest - organized with the Photo Marseille Festival and Provence Tourisme - you have to photograph the Mediterranean, your Mediterranean. It's up to you to choose a particular angle: coastline, architecture, colours, people. Take us on a journey between the mythical cities of Delphi, Ephesus, Tyre, Carthage, Antioch. Give us food for thought by highlighting the cultural riches from the Maghreb to the Levant, from the south of France to the Greek islands. Capture the moods, capture the multiple legacies of the Mediterranean.

The images "coup de coeur" will be exhibited at the Photo Marseille festival, the 6 winning images (3 public & jury prizes) will receive the book by Téo Bechet published by Bec en l'air.

A special prize - awarded by Provence Tourisme for the most beautiful geolocalized image in the Bouches-du-Rhône - will receive 2 "pass séjour" for the Photo Marseille festival ... It's up to you !

PHOTO MARSEILLE The festival Photo Marseille is the first event entirely dedicated to contemporary photography in Marseille. Since its creation in 2011, the festival's main themes have been the discovery of young talents with the Maison Blanche Prize in particular, and the highlighting of recognized photographers of the contemporary scene (Martin Parr, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore ) with a local orientation since 2015 (Franck Pourcel, André Merian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus). The event is thus the link between the history of photography and its current practices through exhibitions and educational actions to the public (media visits, workshops, conferences). The tenth edition of the PHOTO MARSEILLE festival will take place in autumn. website
