Institut Français du Liban
The Institut français du Liban belongs to the cultural network of France abroad. It is
headquartered in Beirut and has 8 branches in the cities of Saida, Tyre, Nabatieh, Deir El
Qamar, Zahle, Baalbeck, Jounieh and Tripoli.
It constitutes the main platform for dialogue between France and Lebanon in the fields of culture and knowledge. Multidisciplinary and multisectoral, it promotes cultural, artistic, academic, scientific, cooperation, cinematographic and audiovisual exchanges between France and Lebanon and contributes in particular to the presence in Lebanon of French creators, artists and experts.
The Institut français du Liban also promotes projects and debates of ideas, and solicits its partners in the Lebanese cultural scene through the actions it organizes around key moments during the year, such as La Nuit des Idées.

Institut pour la photographie
Started by the Region Hauts-de-France in collaboration with Les Rencontres d’Arles, the Institut pour la photographie is a new resource centre, for dissemination, dialogue and experimentation in order to develop the photographic culture within the general public and to support research and creation. Its programme is based on synergy between five main lines: exhibitions, conservation of photographers’ archives, education, edition, and a grant programme for new projects. Situated at the crossroads of Europe, this new structure forms part of an inclusive approach stemming from initiatives and local expertise with an international ambition.
