Notice to all those who like to show, to surprise, to think about! The ILLUSIONS photographic competition invites you to share images that will question the viewer. It is a question of capturing his intention by shaking up his first impressions, by sowing confusion. All shots are allowed: correlation bias, pareidolia, diversion, more or less risky comparison... The objective is to astonish and to offer several possible readings of the images and to leave everyone to their own thoughts. This competition takes place within the framework of the LUMIÈRES SUR LE QUAI festival and the ESPRIT CRITIQUE exhibition organized by Le Quai des Savoirs in Toulouse. The winning images and the jury's favorites will be exhibited along the Jules Guesde alley from October 20 to November 6, 2022!

Le Quai des Savoirs Le Quai des Savoirs is a center dedicated to science, innovation and contemporary creation. Working in close partnership with the worlds of research, education, culture and innovation, it offers the public and all stakeholders a reflection around the construction of a shared future. To do this, its cultural program is multifaceted, multidisciplinary, its mediations adapted to all ages: they leave a lot of room for interactivity and experimentation. Establishment of the DCSTI of Toulouse metropolis, the Quai des Savoirs is both a cultural platform dedicated to the sharing of scientific knowledge, a place of social ties and popular education, a space for meetings and creation. Two permanent spaces for children, their families and education professionals allow them to discover and experiment with science: the Quai des Petits for 2-7 year olds and the Creative Plateau for 7-15 year olds. The programming of the Quai des Savoirs is articulated in seasons. From December to November, a large exhibition mobilizes 800m² of space around a societal theme enlightened by science and culture. In the fall, Le Quai des Savoirs organizes Lumières sur le Quai festival, its big highlight. website
