English clichés
« England as seen by the French »
From November 4 to December 2 2020
As soon as we think of the English, a thousand clichés cross our minds: a good bowl of hot water with a lemon flavour, a red bus, a black taxi, picnics so british, fish n chips at the beach, pints in front of the pub, the punk attitude, eccentric fashion, a piece of mentholated jelly that wiggles in the hollow of the spoon, a rain curtain a little more than 364 days a year, little English girls in mini-skirts under 8 degrees, a pair of detached ears holding a bowler hat. .. In short, there are a thousand clichés about our “best friends” the English. So for once, when you are asked not to do lace, go ahead... Enjoy the “cliché” !”
In the occasion of exhibition "This Is England" at La Fab.
