Airports
« JFK, Charles De Gaulle, Mohammed V and all the others »
From October 16 to November 20 2019
An airport is a mythical place, an open door to a city christened with prestigious names (CDG, JFK). Photographer Harry Gruyaert describes airports as "privileged places because they possess an exceptional theatricality. The architectural elements, the furniture, the colours compose a setting, as on a stage, where a cohort of extras evolves ". Roissy, Las Vegas, Salt Lake, Madrid, Miami... Whatever hub you choose, but you will have to take us inside these super-structures. Beyond these open architectures, reveal to us the small scenes that are played out there, observe the travellers' expectations, the movements, the postures. This suspended time is magical, capture it!
