Libération
Founded in 1973 by Serge July and Jean-Paul Sartre, Libération is a daily newspaper that perpetuates the spirit and ideals established during the May 68 movement. It originated from the desire to create a populist, left wing, independent and engaged newspaper. The first issue was released in kiosques on the 22nd of May 1973 and would become the start of what would be an interactive relationship with its audience. The daily would evolve into a more standardised newspaper with International,Cultural and Media sections, but was still able to stand out from the crowd thanks to its exceptional front pages and its portraits. A new formula would be implemented in January, the daily would see a significant overhaul, with a focus on predicting futur trends and initiating debates, all the while maintaining its initial strength: journalistic innovation.
