Le Quai des Savoirs

Le Quai des Savoirs is a center dedicated to science, innovation and contemporary creation. Working in close partnership with the worlds of research, education, culture and innovation, it offers the public and all stakeholders a reflection around the construction of a shared future. To do this, its cultural program is multifaceted, multidisciplinary, its mediations adapted to all ages: they leave a lot of room for interactivity and experimentation. Establishment of the DCSTI of Toulouse metropolis, the Quai des Savoirs is both a cultural platform dedicated to the sharing of scientific knowledge, a place of social ties and popular education, a space for meetings and creation. Two permanent spaces for children, their families and education professionals allow them to discover and experiment with science: the Quai des Petits for 2-7 year olds and the Creative Plateau for 7-15 year olds. The programming of the Quai des Savoirs is articulated in seasons. From December to November, a large exhibition mobilizes 800m² of space around a societal theme enlightened by science and culture. In the fall, Le Quai des Savoirs organizes Lumières sur le Quai festival, its big highlight.
