Institut Français du Liban

The Institut français du Liban belongs to the cultural network of France abroad. It is headquartered in Beirut and has 8 branches in the cities of Saida, Tyre, Nabatieh, Deir El Qamar, Zahle, Baalbeck, Jounieh and Tripoli. It constitutes the main platform for dialogue between France and Lebanon in the fields of culture and knowledge. Multidisciplinary and multisectoral, it promotes cultural, artistic, academic, scientific, cooperation, cinematographic and audiovisual exchanges between France and Lebanon and contributes in particular to the presence in Lebanon of French creators, artists and experts. The Institut français du Liban also promotes projects and debates of ideas, and solicits its partners in the Lebanese cultural scene through the actions it organizes around key moments during the year, such as La Nuit des Idées.
