Dune is an American-Canadian science fiction film co-written and directed by Denis Villeneuve, released in 2021. It is the third adaptation of the Frank Herbert novel Dune released in 1965, after the film Dune (1984) by David Lynch and the three-part miniseries Dune (2000) by John Harrison, not to mention the abortive adaptation of Alejandro Jodorowsky in the 1970s.
