Farewell to Erwitt
Elliott Erwitt, a Franco-American photographer who became a key figure in the Magnum Photos agency, died on 29 November at the age of 95. Born in Paris of Russian immigrant parents, he grew up in Italy, and in 1938 his family emigrated to the United States. He joined the Magnum agency in 1953, and also worked as a photojournalist for major illustrated press magazines, but was also highly acclaimed for his black and white and dog photography! This week Wipplay pays tribute to him with an album dedicated to our faithful companions.
