The sound of Silence
Five women are suing against Texas' anti-abortion law because the state refused to terminate their pregnancies despite serious complications. The women have taken the case to court in Texas because abortion is prohibited in the state, but it is still possible to perform it in cases of life-threatening or seriously handicapping conditions for the mother. However, these exceptions are not medically defined enough for doctors to take the risk of performing them, and this is what these Texan women are asking to be clarified. This release of the silence is the occasion for us to present you the pre-selection of the competition THE SOUND OF SILENCE, in partnership with the Opéra Comique.
